Eating well is essential for children in their early years. At Best Friends, we promise to provide a balanced and nutritious diet for our children.
Our fully-trained and experienced chef Jake, has cooked all around the world and has designed a menu that gives the flavours of his experience to his home-cooked food.
We follow a 5532 approach in our menus, which simply means that in a day, our children will eat 5 starchy foods, 5 fruit and vegetables, 3 dairy and 2 protein. Jake meets with all parents to understand any dietary needs.
We have our tables set out with table cloths and children are encouraged to serve themselves. Staff always sit with children when they are eating.
A warm welcome awaits you from Hayley and Wendy as you enter Best Friends. One of them will show you around our lovely nursery and the other will make you a cup of tea or coffee if you want one.
We are fortunate to have a family room, where parents can chat with staff, have coffee mornings, relax if their child is settling-in, train or look for jobs on our computers with free Wi-Fi.
We are a breast feeding friendly building and the family room offers privacy if you need to nurse your little one. We also have a book case for any book lovers to take or swap a book from our library.
